Out of my comfort zone

Team 20: Lauren Blodgett is an immigration attorney at a New York non-profit, where she provides free legal representation to refugee children. She is the co-founder of an immigrant girls empowerment group called Las Mariposas (the Butterflies). Lauren has worked on human rights issues all over the world, including in Morocco, Jordan, Tanzania, Cambodia and more.

Team 30: Jiji Lee is a comedy writer in New York. Her humor writing has been published in Reductress, The New York Times, and The New Yorker.

Team 40: Melanie LeGrande turned 40 in April and is living her best life in NYC. A military brat, Melanie has worked in community affairs and corporate social responsibility for almost 15 years and currently serves as vice president of social responsibility for Major League Baseball.

Team 50: Kelli Dunham is the ex-nun genderqueer RN nerd comic so common in modern Brooklyn and the author of seven books of hilarious nonfiction. Kelli's writing has appeared on New Republic, Time.com, Thought Catalog, and the NPR health blog. Mayor Bill DeBlasio once called Kelli a "show off." To her face.

Team 60: Raised in Boston and Manhattan, Joan Lebow started her career as a business journalist before leading PR and Communications for government agencies, hospitals and schools, and now consults in the field. She's the mother of two young men and loves taking pictures in her new Brooklyn neighborhood, Bay Ridge.
